I love creating content. I love putting together curriculum, workbooks, quote and scripture collections, journals, and so much more. And then I love sharing these in hopes they may brighten someone’s day, light up a classroom, ignite an imagination, remind someone of their value, or touch a heart. I love every product I share with you. But I have one that is uniquely special to me – my Bible Study Companion Guide.

I never planned to share this one. I put it together for a bible study group I was planning to start at my home just before Covid hit. I printed out some copies and waited for the Pandemic to end. Well, I am still waiting. One thing that has come from this waiting is an ever-growing awareness of how important it is to share the Word now. There is so much comfort to be found there. And guidance and strength and hope… Let me tell you what The Bible Study Companion Guide contains and why it is so uniquely special to me.
So, I have this blue bible journal that I have had for close to two decades. The cover is worn and has a few coffee stains and some tear stains making it look its age. Inside the pages, I have gathered notes from my theology classes, impactful points from some of my favorite sermons and lectures, and quotes from powerful books or bible studies I have taken part in. I even have Hebrew letters and their meanings and just so much more.
I admittedly have a lot of other collections of scripture notes as well. I have a huge collection of church bulletins that contain notes and sketches. I have a bursting folder of notes and worksheets from classes and retreats I’ve attended. But this bible journal is different. If something really hits me hard, I experience an a-ha moment of clarification, or I feel that distinctive peaceful sinking and sealing into the heart that is a revelation then I run for the little blue journal and record it there. It’s become really special to me as the pages have filled.
In this bible study companion guide, I shared exactly what was recorded on some of the most worn pages of my little blue bible journal. Here is what is inside.
- A simple breakdown about the books of the bible.
- The names of God and their meanings.
- The miracles of Jesus.
- The biblical meaning of numbers.
- The biblical meaning of colors.
- The 9 Fruits of the Spirit.
- The 9 Gifts of the Spirit.
- The Armor of God.
- Some vocabulary.
- Prayers found in the bible such as The Lord’s Prayer and The Priestly Blessing.
- Psalm 91 personalized.
- More powerful personalized scriptures.
- Prayer Circles
- Some short bible verses which are great for those just starting to memorize scripture.
These notes are the ones I thought most important for the classes I was expecting to start teaching. They were foundation-building classes and designed for Christians at every stage of their spiritual journey. Now, there is a lot more I want to share from my bible journal. I’m actually working on another one now that gathers what I have learned about spiritual warfare. I’ll let you know when I get that one finished. I’d like to make a whole series and organize all of what I’ve collected so I can share it with you.
