Take A Composting Test

Composting at home is SO EASY, but you do have to know a few things to make sure you get the desired results.  While you are safe at home during Earth Month, what better time to make sure you are doing things correctly?  Take our short composting quiz to test your knowledge. Make sure to click “view score” at the end to see how you did and view the correct answers. Then, share our quiz with friends!

The National Parks Service Offers Resources To Celebrate Earth Day and National Park Week

Each day of National Park Week has a theme to highlight what the National Park Service and our partners do and offer year-round.

National Park Week – Every April, during the presidentially proclaimed National Park Week, we join with the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, to celebrate America’s treasures. National Park Week is a time to explore amazing places, discover stories of history and culture, help out, and find your park.

Green Education Foundation – Creating A Sustainable Future – Waste Reduction Challenge

Many of us don’t think about how much we throw away each day and where it ends up. We’ve become disconnected from the waste stream and the processes involved because it has become so easy – throw something away and never see it again!  This program is designed to make students aware of the implications of creating waste and identifies the ways we can all work together to reduce waste and recycle more.
